Selectek has an immediate need to hire a Specification Writer to work closely with the company's team of design professionals on various project types, including science and technology, commercial office, higher education, and performing arts.
Required:
Professional Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) certification preferred.
Architectural license a plus but not required.
5 to 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in specifications development.
Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
Strong communication skills.
Self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency in specifications software such as Speclink preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, MS Project, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Job Responsibilities:
Lead specifications writing and management for multiple projects.
Develop and improve master specifications.
Collaborate with team members on contract documents, material/system analysis, and product research.
Maintain knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction techniques.
Participate in QA/QC reviews and provide technical advice.
Support project leaders in risk management.
Assist architects with shop drawing and product substitution reviews.
Pay rate: $60,000 - $100,000 DOE
