Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Appropriate management of customer communication and adhering to GW Financial and Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and Standard SOP's
Maintain accurate records of entries and correspondance in compliance with CBP audit
You have completed a business training course, ideally you have gathered some experience in handling customs matters and/or in the field of freight forwarding, you are able to use different information and communication tools, and you don’t mind making yourself familiar with new ones
Responsibilities
Prepare and submit customs entries for air, ocean, and ground shipments in accordance with CBP regulations
Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth import operations
Stay current on changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and compliance requirement
Communicate with clients, carriers, and government agencies to resolve documentation or compliance issues
Track shipments and ensure timely release and delivery of goods
Classify goods using Harmonized Tariff Schedule and ensure accurate duty and tax compliance
Perform all other additional duties as assigned by management on a day-to-day basis
