Photographer/Editor – CBS News and Stations (WBZ-TV / WSBK-TV, Boston, MA) We are seeking an expert Photojournalist/Editor to join our dynamic news team. The ideal candidate brings strong visual storytelling skills, proficiency in videography and editing, and the ability to operate independently on assignment. Responsibilities Maintain assigned equipment, including news vehicles, cameras, lights, laptop editors, and related gear; perform repairs when necessary. Operate a broadcast ENG camera (25‑35 lbs), carrying support equipment such as tripod, lights, and microphones. Work scheduled shifts that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Assist Managing Station Journalists (MSJs) during live shoots and assignments as needed. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in a medium to large television market. Non‑linear editing experience with knowledge of file‑based video transfer. Experience as a News Photographer/Editor, operating live bonded cellular technology (Dejero and LiveU). Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience with ENG and SNG live truck, and knowledge of live bonded cellular systems. Preferred Qualities Proven news judgment and strong writing skills. In‑house technical experience (ENG Receive, Floor Directing). Strong breaking news skills. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone certification is a plus.
