Our Brand team is a diverse group of brand managers, media planners, creative managers, and visual designers. We act as an internal agency, driving development for the full spectrum of Agoda’s marketing collateral and campaigns, and collaborating with creative, media, and research partners worldwide.
About the role
We are looking for a Creative Manager – Art to join the Brand Creative team. This role is for an experienced art manager ready to take on leadership responsibility while staying close to the work. You will develop bold concepts, refine visual storytelling, and mentor designers across touchpoints to ensure consistency, professionalism, and impact in all communications. You will help shape and evolve Agoda’s visual identity through design mastery.
You’ll partner with copy and production managers to deliver visually stunning and culturally resonant ideas. You’ll balance hands-on concepting and design with team leadership to ensure projects meet and exceed stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership: Partner with Creative Managers to lead art direction and design vision across projects.
- Concepting & Execution: Generate fresh ideas for campaigns and BAU projects (digital, social, print, OOH). Execute with hands-on art direction and design (approx. 50%) while supervising team projects (approx. 50%).
- Direct teams on adherence to fundamental design rules to ensure strong visual storytelling. Present concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work with copy, production, Brand Management, and stakeholders to translate requirements into visually compelling solutions. Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Leadership: Provide design feedback, assist in career development of designers, and contribute to a positive design-driven culture.
What you’ll need to succeed
- 8+ years of experience, including at least 5 years as an Art Director in an agency or in-house setting.
- Proficiency with design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Figma).
- Significant knowledge of Gen AI tools for creative production.
- Portfolio demonstrating campaigns, digital marketing assets, logos, video ads, and graphic layouts.
- Strong typography, layout, color, art direction, and awareness of design trends.
- Experience across digital, social, and traditional media.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and rationale.
- Excellent listening and collaboration skills; capable of steering projects and prioritizing effectively.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- English language fluency.
