The Opportunity

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the ideal candidate will be a motivated, curious self-starter with experience developing a deep understanding of customer and market needs and leveraging them to implement strategies that drive user adoption and engagement. The ideal candidate comes from a background in enterprise SaaS or EdTech.

This is an important and highly-visible role for a crucial team member, offering an excellent opportunity to drive real, immediate impact. This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY.

Role Overview

This is a critical, dual-focused role for a strategic thinker who is also a hands-on, exceptional writer. You will own the inbound content engine at Copyleaks, responsible for developing and executing a holistic content strategy that drives organic traffic, generates qualified leads, and positions Copyleaks as a definitive thought leader in the content originality and integrity space.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in B2B SaaS content strategy, SEO, and persuasive long-form copywriting, with a passion for the evolving world of AI.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inbound Content Strategy & Execution (Blog & SEO)

  • Strategy Ownership: Develop, own, and execute a data-driven content strategy and editorial calendar across all stages of the marketing funnel, with a primary focus on driving organic traffic and converting visitors into leads.
  • SEO & Keyword Mastery: Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to identify high-potential topics related to AI detection, plagiarism, academic integrity, and GenAI governance. Ensure all content is optimized for technical and on-page SEO.
  • Blog Production: Manage the blog lifecycle, from ideation, keyword research, and outlining to hands-on writing, editing, and publishing. This includes generating 3-5 high-quality, long-form blog posts per month.
  • Gated Asset Development: Lead the creation of long-form, high-value gated assets (e.g., white papers, e-books, technical guides, reports) tailored to specific target personas.
  • Campaign Copywriting: Develop compelling, high-converting copy for landing pages, social posts/ads, and email nurture sequences that directly support lead generation campaigns.
  • Sales Enablement: Produce product-specific assets, such as case studies and one-pagers, to equip the Sales and Customer Success teams with powerful material.

3. Brand Voice, PR, and Social Media Management

  • Copywriting & Tone: Serve as the chief copywriter and editor, ensuring a consistent, expert, and trustworthy voice across all marketing materials, web copy, and communications.
  • PR Support: Work in conjunction with our PR agency to review and draft press releases, and develop ideas that highlight Copyleaks’ industry leadership, product breakthroughs, and original data, working closely with the leadership team.
  • Social Content: Manage LinkedIn content creation and editorial calendar, ensuring social posts are aligned with the overall content strategy, support PR efforts, and drive engagement and traffic to relevant inbound assets.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Success in this role will be measured by performance against the following metrics:

  • Organic Traffic Growth (Unique Monthly Visitors from Search).
  • Visitor-to-Lead Conversion Rate (especially for gated content).
  • Lead Volume & Quality (Marketing Qualified Leads - MQLs).
  • Content-Assisted Opportunities/Pipeline (Attribution to Sales Funnel).
  • Content Engagement (Average Time on Page, Bounce Rate, Social Shares).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of B2B content marketing and copywriting experience, preferably within the SaaS, EdTech, or AI space.
  • Exceptional long-form writing and editing skills are non-negotiable, with a proven portfolio of content that drives measurable business results (traffic, leads, revenue).
  • Expert-level knowledge of SEO best practices and proficiency with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar for keyword research and content optimization.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts (e.g., AI model training, LLMs, code analysis) into clear, compelling, and benefit-driven content for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience developing and managing a full content calendar and editorial workflow.
  • Familiarity with PR best practices and experience drafting press-ready copy.
  • Proficiency with CMS (WordPress).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple workflows and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Experience with influencer programs, thought-leadership amplification, and using LinkedIn as a strategic distribution platform.
  • Comfort working in global, fast-paced, cross-functional environments and managing external agency partners.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with Reddit marketing or community engagement best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
