Base pay range
$28.00/hr - $40.00/hr
This range is provided by Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
- Observe and apply sound judgment to patients\' physical and mental conditions/needs.
- Document and communicate changes in patient\'s appearance, behavior, and ability to work towards treatment plan goals.
- Provide assessment in psychosocial/leisure and recreational skills development/deficiency.
- Assist patients in achieving their optimum level of independent functioning.
- Plan and implement activity therapy for assigned patient caseload within the facility.
- Model and teach patients appropriate social, coping, and stress management techniques.
- Contribute to treatment plans with specific goals and interventions in therapeutic activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education & Licensure: Bachelor\'s Degree in music therapy from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree preferred. Certification or licensure by the state of Washington and/or national governing body in music therapy.
- Experience: One (1) year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness preferred.
- Additional Skill Requirements: CPR Certification and CPI training prior to assisting with a restraining procedure and within 30 days of employment. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Compensation
Full-time and part-time positions are available. The expected compensation range for this role is $28.00 - $40.00 hourly.
