Overview
Studio Katsibas Architecture is a Los Angeles and London based architecture firm in its second year, founded on nearly a decade of experience building successful architecture practices in California and the UK. We specialize in residential and commercial projects, with active work in both cities.
Role: Project Architect
Location: Los Angeles, CA, US (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 (based on experience)
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical design and documentation for residential and commercial projects
- Prepare permit sets, planning submittals, and construction drawings
- Navigate LA city zoning codes and CA Building Code requirements with confidence
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and other consultants throughout project phases
- Review and redline drawings from junior architects and consultants
- Develop detailed construction details and specifications
- Respond to plan check corrections and RFIs during construction
- Work directly with clients, consultants, and contractors to solve design challenges
- Mentor less experienced team members on technical standards and best practices
What You Bring
- 6+ years of professional architectural experience (majority in California)
- Professional degree in Architecture
- Strong proficiency in Revit – this will be tested at interview stage
- Proven experience with LA city permit processes and zoning
- Working knowledge of CA Building Code
- Experience producing permit sets, planning documents, and construction drawings
- Track record of seeing projects through construction
- Strong detailing skills and technical documentation abilities
- Ability to work with urgency and manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for consultant and client coordination
Work Environment
- Hybrid flexibility: 3 days/week in our Playa Vista office, 2 days remote

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 (commensurate with experience)
