Overview

Studio Katsibas Architecture is a Los Angeles and London based architecture firm in its second year, founded on nearly a decade of experience building successful architecture practices in California and the UK. We specialize in residential and commercial projects, with active work in both cities.

Role: Project Architect

Location: Los Angeles, CA, US (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 (based on experience)

What You’ll Do

• Lead technical design and documentation for residential and commercial projects
• Prepare permit sets, planning submittals, and construction drawings
• Navigate LA city zoning codes and CA Building Code requirements with confidence
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and other consultants throughout project phases
• Review and redline drawings from junior architects and consultants
• Develop detailed construction details and specifications
• Respond to plan check corrections and RFIs during construction
• Work directly with clients, consultants, and contractors to solve design challenges
• Mentor less experienced team members on technical standards and best practices

What You Bring

• 6+ years of professional architectural experience (majority in California)
• Professional degree in Architecture
• Strong proficiency in Revit – this will be tested at interview stage
• Proven experience with LA city permit processes and zoning
• Working knowledge of CA Building Code
• Experience producing permit sets, planning documents, and construction drawings
• Track record of seeing projects through construction
• Strong detailing skills and technical documentation abilities
• Ability to work with urgency and manage multiple deadlines
• Excellent communication skills for consultant and client coordination

Work Environment

• Hybrid flexibility: 3 days/week in our Playa Vista office, 2 days remote

• Trans-Atlantic practice: work on projects in both LA and London with opportunities for international travel

Compensation & Benefits
