Overview

Seeking a UI / UX Designer to support a high-impact federal mission in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing user-centered digital experiences across classified systems, ensuring usability, accessibility, and visual consistency. This role requires hands-on collaboration with product managers, developers, and mission stakeholders in a fast-paced, secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and translate findings into wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications
• Develop and maintain design systems and style guides tailored for secure, mission-critical applications
• Optimize workflows and user interactions within security constraints
• Work alongside front-end developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs
• Advocate for user-centered design in a classified, agile development environment

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in UI / UX design, preferably supporting government or classified systems
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design / prototyping tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to present design concepts to stakeholders
• Willingness and eligibility to obtain a TS / SCI clearance with CI Poly
