Overview

Web Developer position at Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School is seeking a full-time Web Developer. The ideal candidate will be able to code, design, and maintain websites, with a strong understanding of web development principles and various coding languages.

Responsibilities

• Creating, testing, and maintaining or updating websites.
• Meeting with administrator to discuss needs and requirements, and ensure vision is well executed.
• Setting up back end of a site.
• Working with the style and functionality of a site.
• Ensuring security of websites.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
• Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
• Ability to organize and coordinate work.
• Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

Education & Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in web development, computer science, or a related field.
• At least two years of development experience.
• A substantial portfolio.
• Strong technical skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other programming languages.
• Familiar with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla and Drupal.
