Responsibilities

  • Collecting data from customers and vehicles and accurately entering data into the business system.
  • Answering inbound calls and scheduling appointments.
  • Assisting Shop Foremen and Service Advisors with daily work order processing, returning cores and locating warranty parts.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in person, via phone and electronic communication.
  • Personally coordinates customer intake, collects all data, and creates repair orders.
  • Assist Service Advisor with obtaining approvals.
  • Coordinate with Department Management, Shop Foremen and Service Advisor to schedule repair appointments for customer repairs.
  • Answer inbound calls and provide basic information on customer repair status.
  • Promote the sale of labor, parts and accessories; maintain pertinent information on sales, specials, service coupon offers and special rates.
  • Maintain understanding of Service Bulletins, Campaigns, Federal Recalls and other pertinent literature.
  • Follow up with customers after repair to ensure satisfactory outcomes and resolve any unhappy customer in coordination with Service Advisor and Service Management.
  • Complete customer satisfaction surveys via phone and email.
  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor at all times and open communication with other staff by posting in work order notes and through verbal and written correspondence.
  • Attend and apply factory and formal training as required.

Qualifications

  • Determined self-starter; works well in a group or alone.
  • Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of all heavy truck repair methods.
  • Ability to identify and meet customer needs and requirements.
  • Hard worker, responsible and a problem solver.
  • Organizational and time management skills; exceptional phone and customer service skills.
  • Appearance must meet the company image and requirements.

Working Conditions

  • Position can be physically demanding, may require lifting up to 50 pounds, sometimes repeatedly.
  • May work at a desk in an office setting for part of the shift, doing paperwork, filing, and key entry on a computer.
  • During the same shift, may climb stairs, climb in and out of vehicles, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees and customers.
  • Exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis.
  • Uniforms are required.
