Newscast/Digital Producer Job at Sinclair Inc. in Miamisburg

Overview

WKEF has an immediate opening for a News and Digital producer! In this role, you’ll be responsible for producing and helping edit our Saturday and Sunday evening newscasts. A few days a week you’ll also be helping produce digital content across all our social media platforms and writing stories for our website. This is a tremendous opportunity to break into television news and quickly develop long-lasting skills you’ll utilize throughout your career.

Responsibilities

• Write and help edit stories for our weekend newscasts.
• Work closely with reporters, directors and photographers to maximize our resources each weekend.
• You will be responsible for shaping the structure and flow of the weekend newscasts.
• On select days, you will also support our digital presence by publishing updates across social media platforms and contributing written content to our website.

• Demonstrates strong news judgment and editorial discernment
• Eagerness to continuously learn and develop professionally
• Writes with clarity, accuracy, and compelling storytelling
• Effectively manages time and prioritizes tasks
• Thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
• Exhibits strong leadership and clear communication skills
• Adapts quickly and solves problems with flexibility and efficiency
• Proficiency in Avid, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Express is highly desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field preferred
