Position Summary The Marketing Director supports the Senior Vice President and works closely with the marketing and creative teams to coordinate and manage marketing operations. This role will plan and execute marketing and business development initiatives and serve as the “right hand” in supporting marketing, creative, and program‑related activities and strategies. Specific duties include directing project timelines, calendars, schedules, and workflow tools; tracking and reporting on key deliverables, scopes, and team utilization; and leading department reporting, innovation, and strategic direction.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee vendor management, logistics, and payment with SMEs
Manage SMEs to deliver high‑quality products and services to internal/external clients
Monitor and report on team utilization, provide scope clarity, and client demand deficits/overages
Direct SME resources for marketing and business development initiatives, including website development, video production, meetings, etc.
Manage and oversee the production processes and timelines of SFC’s in‑house agency
Coordinate with Art, Content, Events, and Digital SMEs for on‑time delivery and quality service
Maintain project planning calendars and master timelines for marketing and creative, including key events, milestones, and deliverables such as Community Playmaker, Content Development, & Campaign Support
Direct and forecast workflow and output based on a unified program calendar (quarterly) for venues
Create and manage project timeline/calendar/schedule and workflow tools (Asana)
Track and report on key deliverables (projects by client, late work, TBD)
Lead weekly team meetings to review progress and deliverables, coordinate team members according to pre‑opening timelines, create proactive movement on deliverables, and manage incoming requests
Investigate new tools, processes, and systems for maximizing marketing output and workflow
Liaise with Venue Marketing Account Management and SFC Marketing Director to coordinate cross‑department projects, initiatives, and client support
Hold accountability and standards for communication, timely delivery, quality of service in agency
Provide quality assurance and oversight within the department; ensure work delivered is free from errors and technical issues
Create and manage documentation of basic operation systems and processes
Systems admin for marketing tools: Trello, Adobe, Asana/Monday, HubSpot, etc.
Collaborate with various team members across departments at SFC to gather relevant information, coordinate dates/deadlines, and generate new ideas
All other duties as assigned by leadership
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, or related field preferred
Ability to maintain exceptional interpersonal relationships with clients and develop trust
Expert level command of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, and demonstrated ability to learn multiple new software platforms quickly
Collaborative and able to develop interpersonal working relationships with senior leadership and support staff alike
Excellent communication skills with speaking, writing, press releases, emails
Proven success in generating awareness through consumer marketing and branding
Proven experience in the successful creation and launch of advertising/marketing campaigns
Management of a marketing and business development budget including decisions on prioritization of highest and best return‑on‑investment for each marketing dollar; proven analytics to measure the ROI, efficiency, and effectiveness for all marketing programs
Management of company websites (specifically in WordPress) including content development
Strong project management skills
Professional collaboration with a range of stakeholders including customers, clients, suppliers, designers, printers, colleagues, and partner organizations
Experience in the leadership, planning, and project management of advertising, digital marketing, public relations, event organization, product development, distribution, sponsorship and research of sports, entertainment, and recreation venues
Working Conditions
Willing and able to travel on short notice
Must be able to lift 30 pounds waist high
Will be required to sit for extended periods of time operating a computer
Office environment has intermittent noise
