Principal Product Marketing Manager, Jira Product Discovery At Atlassian, we are looking for a strategic leader to develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies and campaigns for our fastest‑growing product. Join our dynamic team of storytellers and strategists to drive demand and awareness across the customer lifecycle.

Overview Our Marketing team brings to life the Atlassian story to drive demand for our tools and spread awareness of Atlassian’s mission to unleash the potential of every team. We are a fast‑moving, experimental, and collaborative PMM team for Jira Product Discovery.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve Jira Product Discovery’s messaging to clearly articulate its value and address customer challenges.

Shape and drive the product’s GTM strategy – defining target segments, opportunities, and aligning campaigns, growth experiments, and content initiatives.

Partner with demand generation and performance marketing to design, run and optimize multi‑channel paid campaigns that drive awareness and acquisition across self‑serve and sales‑led segments.

Drive experiments with the product growth team across in‑product experiences, landing pages, trials, and onboarding to accelerate acquisition and activation.

Build content strategies that support campaigns and drive discovery, purchase, and adoption across the full funnel.

Lead release marketing end‑to‑end: from defining messaging and running beta programs to coordinating cross‑functional deliverables and creating launch assets.

Collaborate with Product, Growth, and Campaigns teams to influence product and GTM priorities, align roadmaps and messaging, and deliver cohesive launches.

About You

Strong strategic thinker who can shape GTM strategy and execute the work to make it real.

Excellent storyteller who can craft narratives for technical audiences and simplify complexity.

Proven ability to build and scale content programs, campaigns, and experiments that drive measurable growth.

Data‑driven, creative and analytical, always watching the landscape to identify trends and opportunities.

Effective collaborator who can influence across functions and levels.

Thrives in a high‑performance culture built on clarity, pace, and impact.

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years in product marketing with a strong focus on B2B SaaS, ideally in collaboration, developer, or product tools.

Experience creating content that drives discovery, engagement, and adoption.

Track record of driving measurable impact through integrated campaigns, growth experiments, and content engines.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn insights into strategy and execution.

Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments with high ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or equivalent business experience.

Experience marketing to product management audiences or working in a product‑led growth environment.

Experience building or marketing new categories or products in high‑growth environments.

Experience working closely with Product, Growth, and Campaigns teams to shape GTM strategy.

Global marketing experience is a plus.

Compensation (US Only) Base pay ranges by geographic zone: Zone A: $175,500–$229,125; Zone B: $158,400–$206,800; Zone C: $145,800–$190,350. Additional benefits include bonuses, commissions, and equity.
