Job Summary Allia Health Group is seeking a visionary
Director of Communications
to lead our internal and external communication strategy in a
hybrid role , reporting to the
Chief People Officer . As the primary architect of how we tell our story, you will translate content into impactful, compliant messaging for diverse internal and external audiences across our digital marketing companies in the telehealth space and compounding divisions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
Define the vision and roadmap for Allia Health Group’s communications function, aligning with corporate goals, regulatory obligations, and market dynamics
Drive long-term communication strategies across audiences and platforms, anticipating trends in healthcare, pharmacy, and AI/tech regulation
Serve as senior communications counsel to executive leadership on business transformation, innovation, and reputation management
Champion AI and analytics tools to enhance communication effectiveness—message testing, personalization, and sentiment analysis
Embed data feedback loops and performance dashboards to continuously optimize content and tone
Messaging & Brand Stewardship
Own and evolve Allia Health Group’s messaging frameworks for compounding, clinical, and specialized services
Build and uphold a distinctive brand voice and storytelling framework that blends authenticity with expert credibility
Oversee content governance policies to ensure compliance with FDA and HIPAA standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence
Partner with marketing, clinical, regulatory, and executive teams to deliver unified, multi-channel communications
Coach leadership on high-impact communication delivery and stakeholder engagement
Oversee diverse content types: digital media, social channels, internal communications, and press relations
Safeguard message quality, factual precision, and audience resonance across all channels
Reputation, Crisis & Regulatory Management
Develop and execute crisis communication plans
Monitor external media, policy, and regulatory environments for emerging risks and narratives
Ensure communications adhere to FDA, HIPAA, and ethical standards—especially when leveraging AI tools
Operational Excellence
Manage budgets, vendors, and technology tools for optimal performance and ROI
Establish standardized processes, dashboards, and KPIs to measure communication impact and efficiency
Qualifications
Required
10+ years of progressive experience in communications, PR, or similar roles, including senior leadership experience
Bachelor's or higher degree in Communications, Public Health, Life Sciences or a related field
5+ years of experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or similarly regulated industries
Thorough knowledge of key healthcare regulations, including FDA marketing rules, and HIPAA
Proven excellence in writing, editing, and translating complex information into clear, audience-appropriate messaging
Demonstrated success using data, analytics, or AI tools in communications
Preferred
Experience leading multi-channel communication programs (digital, media, internal, executive)
Experience building or scaling communication teams
Familiarity with AI and audience/sentiment analytics tools
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk or computer
Strong verbal and written communication skills across in-person and virtual settings
Ability to focus in a dynamic office environment and perform repetitive computer-based tasks
