Overview Come join the QuickBooks Workforce Solutions team as a Staff Product Designer! As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll help lead and design experiences across our Payroll product within Workforce Solutions. You’ll bring delight to our customers through strong interaction, and visual skills to communicate complex topics in an easy to understand manner. You’ll have the opportunity to own new features, reimagine existing experiences, restructure business processes, all while brainstorming and sharing your ideas with cross‑functional teammates.

Responsibilities

Own the end‑to‑end design efforts for complex products

Provide design leadership within a team by collaborating with product managers, analysts, researchers, writers, and engineering partners to create outstanding customer experiences

Deliver multiple projects simultaneously through robust communication and time‑management skills

Participate in and analyze extensive customer research to identify insights that will ultimately provide customer value and delight

Leverage iterative prototyping to quickly test concepts and learn from customers

Drive design decisions through data by partnering with our analytics team

Participate in and promote a culture of detailed feedback rooted in first principles, design rationale, customer data, and industry best practices

Effectively present and communicate your designs and rationale to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management

Provide mentorship to junior designers from a craft and cross‑discipline partnership perspective

Qualifications

Experience designing products with high degrees of complexity and cross‑product interdependencies

Experience navigating 0‑1 products that are ambiguous and require a high degree of cross‑team coordination

Ability to bring various stakeholders together, gather feedback, and synthesize it into amazing products

Portfolio that demonstrates products with complex end‑to‑end thinking and dependencies

Experience working in an environment of lightweight and rapid experiments and iterations

Experience in experimentation environments where product goals may not have a clearly defined end state

Experience working with or in large enterprises, so the pace of enterprise work is familiar

Experience working in organizations with robust design systems

Experience working on products from concept to code (end‑to‑end)

Comfortable with user research (running user tests, analyzing data, experience with evaluative and generative research), prototyping, and working on finance and data‑related projects/products

Comfortable working within a data‑informed environment and partnering with analytics
