Director of Human Resources Provide 3D design support to engineering as assigned by the Mechanical Engineer and Department Manager, using the Autodesk programs, Inventor / Auto-Cad.

Principal Accountabilities

Reviews and interprets specifications and drawings supplied by project engineering, architects and consultants.

Communicates with other departments as necessary to resolve and avoid any issues. In particular coordinates with engineers and management to meet project team objectives and schedules.

Prepares detailed calculation documents with assistance from an engineer as necessary.

Prepares drawings and specification for the parts, assemblies and conveyor system layouts.

Prepares and releases requisitions to purchasing and manufacturing (order release).

Prepares part lists for procurement purposes. This includes filling out purchase requisitions.

Supports engineering and manufacturing by tracking project related fabrication and assembly work.

Performs on-site visits as necessary to field verify dimensions and right-of-ways.

Attends project team meetings as required.

Utilizes Kronos for timekeeping functions.

Develop a sequence of tasks with the department manager and agree on a plan of completion.

Devise conveyor system submittal and kit configurations and their breakdowns

Identify potential obstacles and address them upfront.

Benchmark all dates by system and per schedule

Schedule system design review with agendas.

Ensure on time completion of tasks, including project status updates and updates on any circumstances that may delay a scheduled project completion.

Conducts research in various areas to develop the best solutions.

Follows the department standards in drafting and procedures.

Works under the general direction of department manager or mechanical engineer.

Performs additional duties/assignments as required by department.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Minimum 5 years’ working experience in 3D conveyor layout and design.

Minimum 5 years’ working experience and be fluent using Inventor / Auto-Cad programs, in 3D environment. Inventor drawing test will be given to all candidates who apply, to see they are fluent using inventor.

Understanding of sheet metal fabrication drawings, including preparation of weldments, prefab and assembly drawings, for manufacturing, is a plus.

Must know how to prepare conveyor system layout drawing packages, for client review and approval. Must know how to develop bill of materials, for shop releases.

Must have knowledge of material handling and conveyor products.

Understanding of AWS weld symbols.

Must have computer literacy and proficiency in Windows and Excel, for client communication and bill of material development.

Knowledge of Access, PowerPoint, Word and MS Project, is a plus.

Knowledge and ability to use a Leica scanner, is a plus.

Knowledge and ability to read and work with point clouds, is a plus.

Knowledge and ability to work in Auto-Cad Re-Cap, is a plus.

Must have strong interpersonal skills and be a proven TEAM player.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
