Interaction Designer – III Duration: ASAP to start, run for 1 year, with chance to extend or convert FTE.
Daily Schedule: M-F, 45 hours a week, no OT anticipated.
Location: Fully Remote near Bellevue HQ or Denver HQ. Must be near a corporate HQ for potential conversion.

Project Description: We are seeking a Mid-Level UI Production Designer with a strong foundation in design systems to join our client's dynamic UX team.
This role sits at the intersection of design craft, systems precision, and production efficiency — ensuring every interface we deliver is pixel-perfect, scalable, and true to the company's brand. You’ll partner closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to prepare high-quality design files for development, stay hands-on through build and QA, and strengthen our shared design system and toolkit.
Key Responsibilities
Design Execution & Production
Maintain organized, production-ready Figma files and uphold strong file hygiene practices.
Act as the final design checkpoint, ensuring accessibility, responsiveness, and alignment with brand standards.
Prepare and polish final design files for development handoff with pixel-perfect accuracy and consistency.
Partner with developer’s post-handoff to review builds, flag design QA issues, and guide in-dev refinements.
Design Systems & Toolkit Mastery
Serve as a go‑to expert on the company’s design system and toolkit — ensuring proper use and advocating continuous improvement.
Implement and extend design system components, spacing, and visual patterns in real-world digital experiences.
Collaborate with design system and engineering partners to maintain visual and functional consistency across web and app.
Contribute to system documentation and education, helping elevate design system literacy.
Translate UX flows and product requirements into refined, visually engaging UI designs.
Create and iterate on high‑fidelity mockups, prototypes, and design specs in Figma.
Iteration & Improvement
Respond to feedback with a refinement mindset, improving clarity and scalability of design assets.
Identify opportunities to streamline production processes and elevate design consistency.
Contribute to shared best practices and advocate for design system‑driven efficiency.
Position Requirements Required:
Strong visual design and layout skills with an exacting attention to detail.
Deep proficiency in Figma, including component creation, variants, and library management.
Demonstrated experience working with or contributing to a large‑scale design system.
Understanding of responsive design and how to optimize for multiple platforms (web, mobile, app).
Experience collaborating directly with product managers and developers through delivery and QA.
Clear communication and a collaborative, team‑first mindset.
Passion for scalable, systematic design practices and continuous improvement.
Preferred:
3–5 years of professional experience in UI design or production design.
Prior collaboration with cross‑functional agile teams, including UX, Product, and Engineering.
Experience with component‑based design in Figma, using libraries, variants, and tokens.
Background in visual communication, graphic design, or related field; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
