Assistant Professor of Marketing, full‑time, tenure‑track, beginning Fall 2026. Salary: "$90,000–$100,000". Department: School of Business, Bowie State University.
Responsibilities
Provide instruction for undergraduate and graduate courses such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Analytics.
Contribute to scholarly activities in the College of Business by advising students and participating in department, college, and university governance committees.
Conduct research that leads to publications in peer‑reviewed, refereed journals in Marketing.
Minimum Qualifications
Terminal degree (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) in Marketing or closely related field from an AACSB‑accredited or similarly recognized institution (completed or expected to complete by start date).
Record of peer‑reviewed journal publications in discipline‑based scholarship, or evidence of a high‑potential research pipeline for newly minted Ph.D. candidates, consistent with maintaining research currency and meeting accreditation standards.
Interest in teaching or record of infusing globalization and online education into courses, with practical and teaching experience preferred.
Demonstrated competence and experience teaching core marketing subjects.
Excellent communication skills and strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, service, and technology application in the classroom.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. or DBA from an AACSB‑accredited institution with strong teaching and research background, and experience teaching entrepreneurship courses.
Demonstrated experience and proven track record in grant writing.
