Schedule:

Full Time

Shift : Monday - Thursday 8 am – 5 pm and Friday 8 am – 3 pm ( 2 days on site every Tuesday and Thursday)

The role you’ll contribute:

The Instructional Systems Designer/Developer I designs and develops learning content, including but not limited to, eLearning interactivity Level 1 or 2 online courses, and video production for the AdventHealth Central Florida Division (CFD) and associated programs/partners, including AdventHealth University, Graduate Medical Education (GME), Acute Care Services, Integrated Health Services and all support services. This position supports AdventHealth CFD strategic initiatives through the design and development of learning content that ensures learning objectives are achieved. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all

Maintains and increases knowledge of content design processes, applications, technology, policies, and procedures.

Documents and maintains communication within the Learning Technologies team to ensure project completion based on milestones and timelines.

Remains current on emerging trends in instructional design, adult learning principles, and course authoring tools/technology.

Modifies eLearning interactivity and instructional design to fit the architecture and medium of delivery.

Provides operational support, development, troubleshooting, and testing use‑cases to meet customer needs.

Communicates frequently with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure effective training development within project schedules.

Collaborates with Learning Technologies team, stakeholders, and SMEs to identify the learning needs of staff.

Designs and develops interactive Level 1‑2 learning experiences using multiple course authoring tools.

Utilizes eLearning evidence‑based principles and instructional strategies in the instructional design process.

Uploads and tests courses in the Learning Management System to ensure functionality and optimal user experience.

Develops supportive training materials, including instructional videos, job aids, and user manuals.

Conceptualizes, designs, and produces graphics using Graphics for Learning principles.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Master's Preferred

1+ Work Experience Required

Working knowledge of course authoring software: * Familiarity with basic functions, test building, graphics and Level 1-2 interactivity to include clickable animated graphics, navigation, glossaries, links to external resources, narration and simple exercises.

Ability to integrate the organizational educational needs into learning programs using industry and evidence-based best practices and provided software tools.

Familiarity with video editing software and filming best practices.

Basic knowledge of camera, video and production equipment.

Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote, Snagit, Graphics software and Visio.

Experience with project management, collaboration and customer relation skills.

Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals.

Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts and ideas in understandable terms to all levels of internal staff (customers).

Solid leadership skills, initiative and self‑direction.

Working knowledge of principles of Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Ability to use LMS tools provided to generate custom evaluation reports based on specified business requirements.

Ability to work independently while meeting hard deadlines.

Knowledge of adult learning principles and education administration processes.

Basic understanding of HTML and SharePoint.

Familiarity with networking, IT and computer hardware terminology.

Knowledge of Project Management practices and software (MS Project, or other PM tools).

Expert knowledge of adult learning principles and education administration processes.

Demonstrated production skills including lighting, audio and camera work.

Familiarity of High Definition (HD) production and post production workflows.

Program Management Professional (PgMP) Preferred or

Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred
