C² Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and deliver engaging, high-quality instructional materials for technical and professional training programs. This position is classified as onsite/hybrid.

Position Description Responsible for designing and developing effective instructional content that supports learning outcomes and aligns with client objectives. Instructional Designers will apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create engaging learning materials, including computer-based training (CBT), instructor-led content, and performance support tools. The role ensures all instructional materials meet accessibility standards, reflect best practices in instructional design, and contribute to learner success.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design and develop instructional content—including presentations, handouts, CBT modules, and job aids—using established templates, design standards, and authoring tools.

Apply instructional design principles grounded in adult learning theory and proven methodologies to ensure clarity, accessibility, and learner engagement.

Engage in proactive stakeholder communication, sharing progress and gathering feedback to align training products with strategic goals and operational needs.

Manage project timelines and milestones, maintaining detailed task plans, tracking progress, and identifying risks to ensure timely delivery.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to collect and refine technical content, translating complex concepts into clear, learner-focused instructional materials.

Conduct content reviews to ensure materials are accurate, consistent, and instructionally sound.

Collect and organize learner feedback and performance data to support evaluation and continuous improvement of training programs.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design.

Familiarity with adult learning theory, ADDIE methodology, and instructional technologies.

Experience developing technical training programs, preferably in transit environments.

Knowledge and application of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.

Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate and Adobe InDesign.

Demonstrated experience conducting working sessions with subject matter experts.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

Project Management certification (PMP or similar).

Experience designing and developing transit or transportation technical training programs.
