Branch Manager – South Branch Library City: Denton, Texas, United States (on-site) Job Details Job Type: Full-Time Job Duration: Indefinite Salary: $81,515.00 – $105,976.00 per year Minimum Education: Master’s Degree Job Function: Other/Not Listed Description Responsible for the efficient operation of a branch library within a multiple library system and for meeting the information needs of the community within that branch’s service area through educational, cultural and recreational materials and services. Essential Functions Supervises branch staff Interprets library and city policies and procedures to the staff and public Resolves patron, circulation and human resource problems Evaluates and maintains the branch’s collection based on knowledge of community interests Assists customers in the use of library collections and provides reference and reader’s advisory services Submits budget request on an annual basis and monitors all branch expenditures Assures that the library facility and equipment are in good working order Maintains adequate supplies for facility Conducts performance evaluations of library staff, writing formal evaluations, reviewing with staff, clarifying performance expectations and initiating appropriate corrective action as required Performs administrative record keeping and reporting, including financial and activity reports and timesheets Maintains regular and punctual on-site attendance Additional Duties Establishes ongoing contacts with local civic groups, community organizations and other community groups Promotes library services through planned programs Leads system committees Requirements – Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science or Information Studies from an ALA accredited college or university Five years increasingly responsible experience in a public library, including three years of supervisory and administrative experience OR Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job Job ID: 80698927 #J-18808-Ljbffr
