A next-generation preventive healthcare startup is looking for its Founding Product Designer to shape how people understand and interact with their health. This is an opportunity to design the future of personalized medicine, from data to diagnosis to daily life.
The company delivers preventive healthcare built around your complete health picture: integrating genomics, epigenetics, blood biomarkers, and lifestyle data into one cohesive experience. Their AI‑powered care model combines doctors, coaches, and intelligent assistants to catch issues early, personalize care, and make proactive health the norm.
What you’ll do:
Design intuitive dashboards and AI chat interfaces that bring complex health data to life
Create the core UX for personalized health—making genomic and biomarker data understandable and actionable
Work directly with founders (ex‑Linear & Ramp) and engineers to ship high‑impact features
Partner with a world‑class creative team to build Sonata’s design system and grow the design team
Define how preventive care looks, feels, and works for millions of people
What they’re looking for:
5+ years designing digital products (health, fintech, or other data‑heavy domains)
A strong portfolio demonstrating clarity, usability, and visual excellence
Experience designing analytical or AI‑driven interfaces (dashboards, tools, chat)
Fluency with Figma, Framer, and modern design workflows
Comfort working closely with technical teams and founders in a fast‑moving startup
Compensation & Work Style: 1–1.5% equity as an early founding team member
