Summary of Position The Marketing Representative plays a key role in executing the company’s growth strategy by managing relationships with independent insurance agents and brokers, driving production, and improving profitability within an assigned territory. This position serves as the bridge between the company’s strategic sales objectives and the on‑ground needs of our agency partners.

The Marketing Representative is accountable for developing and maintaining a high‑performing distribution network through a combination of consultative sales, territory management, and data‑driven decision‑making. The role requires proactive engagement with both existing and prospective agents, focusing on identifying growth opportunities, optimizing book performance, and ensuring adherence to underwriting and compliance standards.

A successful Marketing Representative will demonstrate a strong command of our products, technology platforms, and market trends, using these tools to strengthen broker relationships and improve conversion rates. They will be adept at leveraging CRM data and digital marketing tools to plan outreach, measure performance, and align agent activities with corporate objectives.

This position operates with a high degree of autonomy, requiring strong business acumen, communication skills, and a solutions‑oriented mindset. The Marketing Representative is expected to be both a trusted advisor to agents and a strategic partner internally—providing insights from the field to inform marketing initiatives, product enhancements, and competitive positioning.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Growth

Develop and execute territory growth plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.

Use Salesforce and analytics dashboards to monitor performance and identify new opportunities.

Conduct regular outreach through in‑person visits, campaigns, and events to expand and retain the broker base.

Broker Management

Partner with agents to improve loss ratios, production consistency, and account profitability.

Manage broker performance using key metrics (production trends, loss ratios, delinquency).

Implement broker rehabilitation and development plans to optimize results.

Communicate incentives, contests, and promotions to drive engagement.

Recommend termination or remediation of underperforming brokers as needed.

Market & Product Expertise

Maintain in-depth knowledge of all company products, systems, and underwriting guidelines.

Stay current on competitor offerings and market trends; identify opportunities for differentiation.

Provide field feedback to help improve product offerings, technology tools, and user experience.

Agent Onboarding & Enablement

Identify, recruit, and onboard new agencies aligned with company growth objectives.

Partner with internal training teams to ensure new agents receive proper orientation and support.

Track production ramp‑up and ensure early engagement with company systems and processes.

CRM & Reporting

Maintain accurate and timely Salesforce data for all agency interactions, visits, and activity.

Use CRM insights to prioritize calls and visits, identify growth opportunities, and manage pipeline.

Keep broker contact information current and maintain digital communication deliverability standards.

General & Administrative

Meet or exceed all company performance expectations and compliance standards.

Represent the organization with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Manage expenses and other business‑related items.

Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in non‑standard auto.

Minimum 3 years of sales or marketing experience with proven success managing territory‑based relationships.

Skills & Competencies

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platform.

Analytical mindset with ability to interpret and act on data insights.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and adaptable to changing market dynamics.

Comfortable working independently and traveling as needed.

Working Conditions

Remote/home‑based with regular travel within assigned territory.

Possible long travel outside territory to corporate meetings, conventions, and events.

Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage time effectively.

Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, operate a computer, and travel via car, plane, or train.
