Position Summary The SQL Report Writer plays a key role in designing, developing, and supporting business critical reporting and data analysis solutions for both the Corporate Development and our Product Support teams. This position is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and actionable insights through SQL Server based reporting and visualization tools. The role combines hands-on technical development (SQL, SSRS, SSIS) with business analysis and stakeholder collaboration to drive informed decision-making and operational excellence across the organization. The successful candidate will work in a multi-market reporting environment supporting both internal and external stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Report Development & Maintenance Design, develop, and maintain standardized and customized SSRS reports, dashboards, and data visualizations. Create and optimize SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction and transformation. Build and maintain report data sources, datasets, and shared connections. Monitor and improve report performance, accuracy, and refresh reliability. Assist DBA in database performance tuning and troubleshooting. Data Analysis & Business Support Partner with corporate and customer stakeholders to gather requirements, validate data, and translate business needs into actionable reporting. Support market and customer-facing reporting on revenue, performance, and operational metrics. Troubleshoot and resolve report discrepancies, ensuring data consistency and integrity across environments. Quality, Documentation, and Collaboration Document all reports, data definitions, and modifications using Git-based version control. Maintain an organized report catalog and change history. Communicate progress, timelines, and service expectations to business partners. Collaborate with other developers and analysts to standardize reporting practices and promote data accuracy. ETL & Integration Design and enhance ETL workflows using SSIS and related tools for data loading and transformation. Support data modeling and integration initiatives between corporate databases and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Assist in developing analytical datasets or cubes (SSAS) to support advanced reporting and analytics. Consistently demonstrate the ability to practice Diamond Game's core values and apply them. Perform other tasks and duties as needed and/or requested by management. Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008–2022) including T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, star schemas, and cube design. Understanding of source control (Git), SDLC principles, and deployment practices. Knowledge and Abilities Requirements Strong understanding of relational database design, data validation, and query optimization. Proven experience translating business requirements into technical reporting solutions. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Exposure to financial, operational, or revenue reporting in a multi-market or distributed environment.
