About the Role: A confidential state agency is seeking an experienced
GIS Analyst
to support the ongoing enhancement and modernization of its geographic information systems (GIS) infrastructure. The selected contractor will perform analysis, design, and implementation of GIS applications while ensuring security, system maintenance, and continuous performance optimization. Key Responsibilities: Serve as
ArcGIS Server Administrator Assistant , implementing, maintaining, and providing technical support for GIS infrastructure and applications. Coordinate with the Database Administration team to develop
automation scripts and database management solutions
for spatial data. Design, modify, and implement
web, mobile, and client/server GIS applications , ensuring alignment with IT development standards and security requirements. Provide documentation, project updates, and technical support to other GIS modules and agency teams. Participate in planning and strategy meetings to ensure GIS solutions support agency goals and initiatives. Assist with smaller-scale GIS projects and provide consultation as needed. Qualifications: Proven experience in
ArcGIS Server administration , GIS application development, and spatial database management. Proficiency with
Esri software suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise)
and
Python or other scripting languages
for automation. Strong understanding of
spatial data structures, analysis, and visualization . Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills. Preferred: Prior experience in a
government or public sector GIS environment . Familiarity with
data security standards and IT governance
