Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician or Security Systems Installer with a strong background in Intrusion Detection System (IDS) installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to support Department of Defense (DoD) security requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience installing and maintaining low-voltage electrical systems, integrating security technology, and adhering to DoD standards for facility protection.

This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work in a mission-critical environment where security and reliability are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical and/or security systems supporting Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) in accordance with DoD regulations (UL 2050, ICD 705, etc.).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for security system layouts.
• Perform cable pulls, conduit installation, grounding, and termination for IDS and related security systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and IDS equipment issues, ensuring maximum uptime and operational reliability.
• Collaborate with security engineers, project managers, and DoD stakeholders to support facility security upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with Electrical Code (NEC), DoD standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare documentation, maintenance logs, and reports as required by program and federal guidelines.
• Review system specifications and procure required equipment for install. Government equipment/materials list provided.
