Join the Brand & Communications team at Affirm, a company reinventing credit to make it honest, friendly, and fee‑free for consumers. We’re looking for a Social & Community Manager to shape how we participate in culture every single day, going beyond simple channel maintenance to create meaningful conversations and build authentic community.

What You’ll Do

  • Be our cultural radar: Spot trends, creators, and conversations—from TikTok to Reddit and beyond—and decide when and how Affirm should show up.
  • Participate in real time: Jump into cultural moments and dialogue with the right tone, speed, and creativity.
  • Build community: Foster dialogue and connection, turning participation into trust and loyalty.
  • Bring campaigns to life: Partner with Communications, Brand, and Partner Marketing to ensure launches and narratives feel social‑first, not bolted on.
  • Push creative boundaries: Experiment with new formats and ideas that stretch how Affirm shows up in culture.
  • Measure and refine: Use social listening and analytics to capture insights, optimize, and continually raise the bar.

What We Look For

  • 8–10 years of social and community experience (exceptionally qualified candidates with 5+ years may be considered).
  • Deep knowledge of trends, memes, creators, and communities that shape culture, with the ability to spot what matters before it peaks.
  • Proven track record of sparking conversation and building community—not just publishing content—creating genuine connection and participation.
  • Strong creative instincts and storytelling skills across formats, from short‑form video to emerging cultural expressions.
  • Experience collaborating with creators and cultural voices to amplify stories authentically.
  • Comfort moving fast in real time—judging when to act and when not to.
  • Analytical mindset; experienced with social listening and reporting tools (e.g., Sprout Social) to guide decisions and continually improve.
  • Collaborative, curious, and energized by working across teams to make campaigns and moments social‑first.

Compensation

  • Base Pay Grade: K.
  • Equity Grade: 6.
  • USA (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT): $140,000 – $190,000 per year – employees new to Affirm typically start at the beginning of the range.
  • USA (all other states): $124,000 – $174,000 per year.
  • Base pay is part of a comprehensive package that may include equity, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech, and 100% subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents.
