Job Description
We are looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Strategist to support our Awards Campaigns team. You will lead the development of social campaigns that celebrate and enhance prestige films and series throughout awards season—including the Emmys, Oscars, Guild Awards, and more. From early buzz to nominations to wins, the strategist will lead the social storytelling that amplifies titles and talent at every stage of the awards journey.
Reporting to our VP, Client Partner, you will promote innovative approaches to awards campaigning, with a focus on social media engagement and community‑building around series, talent, and creative teams.
This is a hybrid role based in our LA office. The salary range is between $80,000‑110,000 USD per year, based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop social media strategies for awards‑eligible titles across scripted series, limited series, documentaries, and films.
- Build pre‑ and post‑nomination mini social campaigns for all awards‑eligible titles, highlighting main categories, talent, and creative achievements.
- Lead strategy and creative direction for awards celebration content during major events including the Emmys, Oscars, BAFTAs, SAG Awards, Critics Choice, and more.
- Provide strategic rollout support for pre‑and in‑season posts across all title editorial and brand and social programs aligned with awards goals.
- Lead the creation of internal briefs for creator teams, ensuring clear agreement on audience, tone, platform strategy, and awards messaging.
- Create compelling frameworks and presentations to communicate social strategy, positioning, and creative ideas.
- Ensure all social content and campaigns reflect and strengthen the brand's established voice, tone, and creative standards.
- Monitor awards trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and innovate within the awards space.
- Bring disruptive, breakthrough strategic ideas that enhance campaign storytelling while staying grounded in premium brand guidelines.
- Maintain an understanding of awards rules, deadlines, and voting processes across relevant television and film academies and guilds.
- Collaborate with internal agency teams to agree on messaging, timelines, and creative execution.
- Track performance and produce post‑campaign recaps and insights to inform future strategy based on client reporting.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in social media strategy or digital content marketing within entertainment, streaming, or prestige TV/film.
- 5+ years of experience managing social media FYC campaigns or award celebration campaigns, including content for nominations, wins, and talent recognition.
- Experience with awards season culture, timelines, and strategy across TV and film (Emmys, Oscars, guilds, critics, etc.).
- Experience translating brand and communications strategy into impactful social content and campaign ideas.
- Experience presenting strategic frameworks to our teams and client partners.
- Excellent copywriting, editorial and storytelling skills.
- Knowledge of platform best practices (Instagram, X/Twitter, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn) and how to apply them to prestige content.
- Experience managing real‑time content publishing during live events or cultural moments.
- Expertise in social media marketing, including content strategy, community management, and paid amplification.
- Relationships within the awards ecosystem and entertainment press.
- Comfortable working with high‑profile talent and creatives.
- Knowledge of production timelines, distribution models, and the evolving landscape of television and film usage.
Note: We emphasize skills, expertise and behavioral attributes over years of experience and traditional degrees. If you want to join our collaborative team, we invite you to apply today with your resume in English.
