Job Summary
WEAU 13 News, the dominant station in Eau Claire, WI, is searching for a multimedia journalist. The role requires shooting, writing, and editing television news packages, and producing value-added content for WEAU.com. On-air journalists are also expected to maintain social media pages and engage with the community.
Responsibilities include working with all social media platforms, competency in web image editing, reporting, excellent on-air and web writing skills, and proficiency in AP style. The primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the duties listed above.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with breaking news and working on deadlines in a fast-paced environment is preferred; outstanding recent college graduates will also be considered.
