Role Overview

We\'re seeking a creative UX Designer to own the end-to-end experience for Vale\'s mobile apps and its growth engine—loyalty, referrals, and personalized engagement. You\'ll collaborate with product, engineering, and brand teams to craft intuitive, delightful journeys that keep customers coming back and bring new fans into the fold. Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end mobile UX. Define information architecture, flows, and interaction patterns that align with business goals and guest needs.
  • Design loyalty and growth levers. Create and iterate on high-fidelity journeys for loyalty, referrals, personalized offers, and in-app promotions.
  • Conduct user research. Run usability testing and data analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Help own and evolve the Vale design system. Maintain tokens, components, and motion guidelines for consistency across app, kiosks, carts, and café touchpoints.
  • Ship with engineering. Provide assets, partner with product and engineering on polished, performant releases.
  • Collaborate on the brand. Partner with marketing and brand teams to ensure visual and experiential cohesion across apps, cafés, carts, and kiosks.
  • Stay ahead of the curve. Track mobile and retail-tech trends, identifying innovations that could deepen engagement and retention.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in UX/UI design for consumer-facing products.
  • Proven track record working on mobile apps, ideally from concept to launch.
  • Proficiency with Figma and interactive prototyping tools.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product thinking and pixel-perfect execution.
  • Familiarity with design hand-off workflows.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience designing for loyalty or e-commerce platforms.
  • Knowledge of motion design (SwiftUI, Lottie, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Square or other commerce systems.
  • Passion for coffee, matcha or retail tech.
