Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts at every stage of their careers. Our client, Pyramid Consulting, Inc., is seeking a UX Designer/Architect. This is a 12‑month contract in Irving, TX (Onsite). Pay range: $50–$60 per hour. Employee benefits include health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and productize holistic digital experiences.
- Advocate for the user while working closely with product managers to strategically solve complex problems.
- Create flows, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and other design artifacts to define and communicate end‑to‑end user experiences.
- Drive a user‑centric, iterative, and collaborative design process revolving around rapid prototyping, user research, continuous improvement, and deployment.
- Contribute to coherent visual and interaction designs across flows and channels.
- Recognize that UX contributes to broader business goals beyond the user.
- Work with UX research to plan testing sessions and translate findings into future design deliverables.
- Collaborate with the product team to evaluate and prioritize features balancing business and end‑user needs.
- Participate in and/or organize design workshops (in‑person and remote) to drive discovery and better understand user needs.
- Confidently present UX/UI designs to stakeholders, users, and development teams in formal and informal settings.
- Articulate how design solutions address user needs, business goals, technical constraints, and project requirements.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience
- 5+ years of UX/UI design experience, preferably in B2B space.
- Experience with eCommerce Mobile apps, user‑centered design, and B2B UX/UI.
- Proficiency with Figma, Jira, Figjam, Sketch, Abstract, and InVision.
- Experience with responsive design and related development techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of design and prototyping tools.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and how UX integrates into the Agile/Scrum process.
- Experience organizing or participating in design workshops.
- Exceptional time‑management skills and ability to execute on multiple projects with concurrent timelines.
- Relentless curiosity about people, technology, design, and life.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Online portfolio demonstrating recent work experience with case studies illustrating the entire user‑centered design process.
