Overview
Video Coordinator role at the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Video Coordinator will assist with live content created for the NBA’s social and digital platforms and help develop the NBA’s footprint in this space as we continue to grow our audience and innovate.
Major Responsibilities
- Support a Live Content menu that can support the NBA’s existing Digital and Social Platforms plus any new platforms that pop up.
- Lead smaller footprint productions both on site and virtually from the NBA’s New Jersey office and then assist in supporting roles on larger productions.
- Play a key role in the NBA’s Future Starts Now coverage of live grassroots basketball games across the country.
- Help execute content plans during tentpole events and work closely with publishing teams to determine best experiences for the users of our platforms.
- Assist with the execution of sold content activations around tentpole events during the season.
Required Skills/Knowledge
- 3+ years of live production experience at marquee events and in remote settings.
- Experience in vMix software.
- Live sports broadcasting experience.
- Knowledgeable in the core elements of live streaming production including encoding and video switching.
- Experience in other production positions including camera operation, lighting, audio, and video routing, etc. are desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience managing executions with 3rd party clients and brands.
- Ability to build live show rundowns.
- Deeply knowledgeable and passionate about the NBA.
- Strong writing and communication skills, as well as ability to execute editorial judgment.
- Strong knowledge of and actively use social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat.
Salary Range
$33.17/hr
