As a Senior Media Buyer, you will will direct and implement the negotiation, purchase, and management of DRTV media spending - primarily for short form - campaigns for multiple clients to maximize profitability. Work closely with Account teams and directly with clients directly regarding all aspects of DRTV buying and results.

Your Impact:

  • Sets specific strategic goals for media activity. capitalizes on most profitable stations and dayparts and ensures that they pull quickly when over allowable.
  • Works with account executives and senior operations staff to develop and finalize media test plans using "tiered' station approach, avoiding stations with marginal test results on rollout campaigns. Considers impact on rollout campaign when developing test plans to maximize profitability amongst all campaigns.
  • Keeps spending within set parameters and within allowable budget.
  • Optimizes spending between campaigns per station to maximize client return on ad spend.
  • Works with Media Operations & Analytics to provide regular, accurate, meaningful feedback on reporting of results.
  • Works with account staff to identify opportunities to improve communications, responsiveness, and credibility between internal and external key contacts.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with stations and media representatives to encourage greater leverage in media opportunities.
  • Reports on trends and activities in marketplace including what's working, deal making strategies, and rate issues.
  • Works closely with account executives to increase their overall knowledge of broadcast trends and business functions.
  • Gains a complete understanding of the acquisition goals for each client.
  • Understands the key indicators of the business, the impact on buying strategy and the impact to the financial success of the business.
  • Oversees station performance and ensure rates reflect optimal level of negotiation to achieve low rates and high clearance.
  • Develops strategies to consistently ensure the most efficient rates possible.
Your Profile:
  • 5 plus years' experience in direct response media buying. Brand buying a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from accredited college or university.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships and achieve results by working collaboratively with others.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, with a problem-solving attitude.
  • A high level of confidence.
  • Knowledge of how managing between various campaigns and product formats improves response.
  • Superior analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong strategic and tactical skills in Remnant broadcast media, including knowledge of media planning and testing.
  • The desire to drive linear DRTV as a successful fundraising and acquisition channel.
