Position Overview The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication at Hofstra University invites applications for an Adjunct Assistant/Associate Professor in the area of Film Production in the Department of Radio, Television, Film. The ideal candidate should be able to teach the fundamental practices of directing, cinematography, visual storytelling, and editing using AVID and Premiere Pro. They should also have a body of creative work in at least one of these practices. Have professional experience in film production in a creative aspect of the medium. Have a strong command of the digital editing software used for the class (both AVID and Premiere Pro). Have some teaching and/or production workshop experience. Qualifications Terminal Degree (MFA) or at least 5 years of professional experience in a related field. The candidate should be able to teach the fundamental practices of directing, cinematography, visual storytelling, and editing using AVID and Premiere Pro.
