About the Role
As a LinkedIn Content Marketer at Animalz, you'll own the end-to-end content experience for a portfolio of B2B technology customers focused on LinkedIn and founder-led content strategies. You'll build and execute content strategies that establish thought leadership, drive engagement, and create meaningful business outcomes through short-form, social-first content.
This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You'll manage customer relationships from kickoff through ongoing delivery, conduct interviews with founders and subject matter experts to extract compelling insights, and use AI-powered workflows to produce high-quality LinkedIn content at scale. You'll be responsible for creating content that performs well algorithmically, builds authentic voice, and positions our customers as leaders in their space.
You'll work closely with the Associate Head of Content in charge of the LinkedIn program to develop strategies, collaborate with designers, and serve as a trusted partner to founders growing their personal brand on LinkedIn.
What You'll Do
Customer Strategy & Management
- Own customer accounts from kickoff through ongoing delivery, including onboarding, assisting in strategy development, ideation, content briefs, regular meetings, and customer communications
- Build and execute LinkedIn content strategies tailored to each customer's voice, audience, and business goals
- Manage 4-5 customer accounts simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and maintaining high standards across all deliverables and communications
- Serve as the strategic partner to founders and executives, helping them develop their LinkedIn presence and thought leadership positioning
- Create LinkedIn posts across your customer portfolio using AI-assisted workflows
- Produce diverse content formats including LinkedIn posts, press releases, one-pagers, sales enablement materials, and occasional blog content
- Leverage AI tools (particularly Airops workflows) to transform interview insights into compelling short-form content
- Edit and refine content to ensure it captures authentic voice, strategic positioning, and platform best practices
- Manage content calendars and upload finished content to CMS platforms like Assembly or WordPress
- Assign and manage freelance writers to support content production when needed
- Plan and host interviews with founders, executives, and subject matter experts to extract unique insights and perspectives
- Translate insights and complex technical concepts into accessible, engaging social content
- Identify compelling angles and narratives from interview conversations that will resonate on LinkedIn
- Monitor content performance across LinkedIn metrics (engagement, reach, profile views, etc.)
- Create regular performance reports that communicate results and strategic recommendations to customers
- Iterate on content strategies based on data, platform trends, and customer feedback
LinkedIn Platform Mastery
You understand what makes LinkedIn content perform, from algorithm dynamics to formatting best practices to emerging content trends. You know how to create content that gets engagement and builds meaningful thought leadership.
Interview & Extraction Skills
You can plan effective interviews, make SMEs and founders comfortable, ask the right follow-up questions, and identify the golden insights that will become compelling content. You're skilled at drawing out perspectives that customers didn't even know they had.
AI Content Fluency
You use AI as a powerful tool in your workflow, but you understand its limitations. You know how to craft effective prompts, when to use AI versus writing from scratch, and how to edit AI outputs to sound authentically human while maintaining strategic positioning.
Founder Relationship Management
You build trust with executives and founders through clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and strategic thinking. You can manage expectations, navigate feedback gracefully, and position yourself as an extension of their team. You understand their business challenges and create content that serves their goals, not just vanity metrics.
Short-Form Writing Excellence
You can craft compelling hooks, tell complete stories in 1,300 characters or less, and adapt tone and style to match different customer voices. You understand narrative structure and how to make every word count.
Editorial Judgment
You have a sharp eye for what works and what doesn't. You can identify weak positioning, unclear messaging, or off-brand content-and you know how to fix it.
Content Operations & Management
You keep multiple balls in the air without dropping any. You manage content calendars, coordinate with freelancers and designers, meet deadlines consistently, and maintain quality standards even when volume is high.
Adaptability & Learning Agility
You stay current on LinkedIn platform changes, emerging content formats, and best practices. You're comfortable trying new approaches and adjusting based on what the data tells you.
Required Experience & Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, social media management, or related fields, preferably in B2B SaaS or agency settings
- Proven LinkedIn content expertise, including demonstrated success growing engagement, building thought leadership, or supporting founder-led content strategies
- Strong customer management skills, including the ability to lead strategy conversations, manage feedback loops, and build trust across multiple accounts
- Interview experience with executives, founders, or subject matter experts. You're comfortable planning, hosting, and extracting insights from conversations
- AI content development proficiency, particularly using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or specialized content platforms (Airops experience is a plus)
- Exceptional short-form writing and editing skills with a strong sense of voice, narrative structure, and platform-specific best practices
- Content strategy experience including building content strategies from scratch and executing them consistently
- Strong command of content management tools and familiarity with platforms like Asana, Assembly, WordPress, or similar
- Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills. You can work independently while staying connected to your team and customers
- Deep knowledge of LinkedIn algorithm, content formats, and emerging platform features
- Portfolio demonstrating exceptional LinkedIn content you've created or managed
- Experience with other content channels like Substack, newsletters, or X/Twitter
- Background working specifically with founders or executives on personal branding
- Experience in B2B tech, SaaS, or venture capital industries
- Familiarity with SEO principles and content analytics platforms
- Design brief experience or visual storytelling skills

Days 1-30: Learn & Build Foundation
- Complete onboarding and master Animalz tools, processes, and AI workflows
- Deep dive into 1-2 assigned customer accounts and their LinkedIn strategies
- Shadow interviews and begin conducting your first customer interviews
- Create your first LinkedIn content deliverables with guidance from Associate Head of Content
- Study high-performing LinkedIn content and platform best practices
- Build relationships with your team, customers, and key stakeholders
- Own strategy execution for 2-3 customer accounts
- Independently plan and host customer interviews
- Manage Airops workflows to produce consistent content at scale
- Start managing freelance writers and content calendars
- Present performance insights and recommendations in customer meetings
- Contribute ideas in team meetings and strategy sessions
- Manage full portfolio of 4-5 customer accounts
- Lead strategy development and iteration based on performance data
- Demonstrate measurable improvements in customer LinkedIn metrics (engagement, reach, profile growth)
- Identify and implement process improvements for your accounts
- Share LinkedIn expertise and insights with the broader team
- Build reputation as a trusted strategic partner with your customers
Location: Fully remote, Americas or EMEA
Timezone Requirements: We ask for at least 4 hours of overlap with US timezones (EST/PST) to collaborate effectively with our team and customers
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 USD annually
Compensation determined within the range based on experience, skills, and demonstrated impact in previous content marketing roles, particularly LinkedIn-focused work.
