Job Summary/Basic Function The Department of Art and Design at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position in print media at the rank of lecturer. This is for the spring 2026 semester only and has a start date of January 1, 2026.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong conceptual and technical background in traditional and contemporary printmaking with a commitment to health and safety issues. In addition, the successful candidate will have the ability to teach a broad range of print media processes including silkscreen, etching (intaglio), lithography and relief printing and will also be responsible for day-to-day oversight of the MTSU Printmaking facilities, including three lithography presses, four etching presses, digital lab, and a screenprint studio with exposure units and hydro booth.

Required Education An MFA with an emphasis in print media (printmaking) is required by the appointment date.

Other Desirables Applicants with two (2) years of full-time teaching experience in pint media or 2D studio art courses beyond a graduate assistantship will receive special consideration.
