Salesforce Marketing Automation Specialist
to join our dynamic team in North Carolina. If you're an expert in email marketing with deep experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Note:
This is a hybrid role requiring in-office collaboration 3 days per week. Remote work is permitted up to 2 days weekly once fully onboarded. 100% remote candidates will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Execute timely, error-free email and SMS campaigns using Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.
Configure complex Data Cloud audiences and data extensions across multiple consumer health brands.
Act as a subject matter expert, collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, creative, analytics, IT, legal, agencies) to align execution with strategic goals.
Lead QA and testing efforts across campaigns, integrations, and new features to ensure flawless delivery and compliance.
Develop strategic playbooks for A/B testing, dynamic content (AMPScript), AI personalization (Einstein), and advanced reporting.
Monitor campaign KPIs and recommend optimizations to improve engagement, deliverability, and feature adoption.
Support onboarding and integration of newly acquired brands into the Marketing Cloud ecosystem.
Train internal teams through workshops, documentation, and best-practice sessions.
Ensure all campaigns meet HIPAA, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and accessibility standards.
Explore and pilot emerging AI/ML tools to enhance personalization and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of hands‑on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder).
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification (required).
Additional certifications a plus: Salesforce Certified AI Associate, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Developer, Data Cloud.
Strong grasp of email marketing strategy, automation best practices, deliverability, and reporting.
Experience in healthcare marketing or regulated data environments.
Proven success supporting marketing integrations during acquisitions.
Experience with cross‑channel campaigns (email, SMS, social, push).
Familiarity with API integrations and data workflows.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in AMPScript, SQL/SSJS, and Mobile Studio.
Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Ability to translate business goals into scalable automation solutions.
High attention to detail and commitment to QA in regulated environments.
Skilled at managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced, agency‑style setting.
Knowledge of deliverability tools (e.g., Everest, ReturnPath, 250ok) is a plus.
