Overview
Gansevoort Hotel Group is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team. The Marketing Coordinator will support the execution of the overall marketing strategy for Food & Beverage and Seven24 Membership Club initiatives, while providing clerical and administrative support. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with skills and interests in luxury marketing, hospitality, communications, branding, and/or F&B. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and will be organized and detail oriented. They should be willing to take initiative, be a team player, be flexible, open-minded, and eager to grow professionally. Primary Functions
To serve as a Gansevoort Hotel Group brand ambassador and maintain integrity and consistency of brand standards and goals. To uphold and comply with Gansevoort Standards, Coyle Standards and Gansevoort Core Values. Support the execution of both short- and long-term brand initiatives for Seven24 Collective private membership club and all Gansevoort Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals and enhancing brand presence across key verticals. Oversee inventory management, order fulfillment, and vendor relationship management for all marketing collateral. Update F&B menus with exceptional attention to detail for design, grammar and spelling. Manage printing and quality control. Provide administrative support to the Marketing Team for F&B and Membership, including maintaining tracking documents, inputting press media dines, updating the website, office maintenance, and assisting with branding initiatives. Provide hands-on support for photo and video shoots, including sourcing props, coordinating with the Food & Beverage team, managing production schedules, and facilitating internal communication to ensure seamless execution. Support the Associate Director of Marketing and the Head of Culinary with administrative tasks as needed. Required Skills / Qualifications
Previous Hotel Sales and Marketing experience preferred. Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and brand-aligned copy across various platforms, including internal and vendor communications, social media, email marketing, and web. Telephone skills, letter compositions, and appointment scheduling are paramount. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Suite, Canva, Eventbrite, RESY, and OpenTable. Confidentiality relative to all aspects of our business. Flexible schedule to include occasional events on weekends, holidays, late evenings, etc. Multilingual skills highly desirable but not required. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions. Ability to work independently. Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute. Must maintain a cooperative, approachable, team-oriented attitude. Financial awareness and a goal to contribute to a profitable business. Report for duty punctually following the Gansevoort Attendance and Punctuality Policy. Maintain a good rapport and working relationship with all staff. Handle guest and employee inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner; report guest complaints or problems to supervisors or the manager on duty. Provide and maintain the highest possible service standards to our clientele at all times. Must be able to communicate proficiently in English, both written and verbal. High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or related field preferred. Physical Requirements
Must be able to work stationary for up to 8 hours per day and/or stand for 8 to 10 hours. Must be able to talk and hear clearly to communicate with potential guests and clients. Must be able to lift/move packages up to 40 pounds. Must be able to move within the office to make copies and send faxes. Must be able to reach and handle items on and around the desk. Depth perception and balance for overall performance; ability to work with computers. This is an hourly position at the starting pay rate of $31.25 per hour plus a full benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), paid time off, and other company-specific perks.
