You’ll work closely with the marketing and sales teams to drive measurable growth, optimize performance, and report on what’s moving the needle.
Key Responsibilities Email Marketing
Manage and optimize Cantrip’s email marketing program, including campaign creation, flows/automations, segmentation, and personalization.

Monitor and report on KPIs such as open rate, CTR, conversion, and revenue per send.
Paid Media (CTV & Digital Ads)
Plan, execute, and optimize connected TV (CTV), programmatic, and digital advertising campaigns.
Manage and report on ad spend budget and project forward‑looking spend.
Manage vendor partners that may be responsible for any aspect of digital advertising; provide briefs, assets, and direction as needed.
Develop testing strategies to improve CTR, conversion rate, and ROAS across platforms.
Partner with creative teams to ensure messaging and creative align with brand voice and performance insights.
Work with social media manager to create UGC content that is functional for both organic and paid social.
Own all programmatic advertising— from display and video to CTV—spanning both general brand campaigns and retailer‑specific placements (GoPuff, DoorDash, etc.). Ensure targeting accuracy, creative optimization, and compliance with platform and category restrictions.
Website Optimization
Own the ongoing optimization of Cantrip’s website experience in collaboration with the Creative Director and web development partners.
Work in tandem with creative to optimize website for conversion and usability.
Identify conversion area issues, manage any third‑party conversion audits, and report back mechanical website changes to web development and creative to update website on an ongoing basis.
3rd‑Party Platform Advertising
Manage advertising and promotions within retailer‑owned ecosystems (e.g., DoorDash, GoPuff, Total Wine, and others).
Track and report performance, ensuring Cantrip’s products stand out in crowded marketplaces.
Collaborate with sales to align digital promotions with in‑market retail pushes.
Partner with the Trade Marketing Manager to align on retail programming, SKUs, and timing. Manage all retailer‑linked digital placements to ensure accurate product focus, cohesive creative, and measurable performance.
Retail Program Amplification
Partner with the Trade Marketing Manager to amplify retail promotions and rebate programs (Sweeps, IRCs, coupons, etc.) across Cantrip’s digital ecosystem.
Lead digital execution and performance tracking to ensure cohesive messaging and measurable impact.
Analytics & Reporting
Track and report on full funnel key metrics including AOV, CTR, conversion, CAC, LTV, and ROAS across all channels, reporting both individual channel efficiency as well as overall digital advertising segment efficiency.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness.
Maintain a culture of test‑and‑learn across digital platforms, ensuring Cantrip stays ahead of digital best practices.
Partner with the TMM to measure the digital lift and ROI of retail‑focused campaigns, connecting insights back to sell‑through and retailer visibility.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on email, paid media, and e‑commerce/retailer platforms.
Experience running ads in restricted categories (cannabis, hemp, CBD, nutraceuticals, or functional products) is a major plus.
Proven track record of running and optimizing A/B tests across multiple channels.
Deep understanding of digital marketing metrics (AOV, CTR, CAC, LTV, etc.) and how to use them to inform decisions.
Hands‑on experience with email platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar) and paid media buying platforms.
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and marketing dashboards.
Bonus if you have:
Familiarity with CPG beverages, alcohol alternatives, or wellness brands.
Experience with paid search or SEO fundamentals.
A knack for writing witty, brand‑right copy that performs.
A great sense of humor — if you’ve ever done stand‑up, written a meme, or made your coworkers snort‑laugh in a brainstorm, you’re who we’re looking for!
You
A curious, data‑driven marketer who thrives on testing, learning, and optimizing.
Someone who can balance big‑picture growth strategies with in‑the‑weeds campaign execution.
A creative thinker with a knack for writing compelling, comedic, brand‑aligned copy that converts.
A collaborator who enjoys working cross‑functionally with sales, creative, and leadership teams.
Compensation $100,000–$115,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus performance‑based bonus and standard benefits package. This role is built for someone who’s ready to grow with a fast‑scaling, culture‑driven cannabis beverage brand.
