- Conduct thorough evaluations on patients of all ages, utilizing standardized assessments complemented by observational techniques.
- Design individualized treatment plans tailored to both short-term objectives and long-term enhancement of communication, cognition, or swallowing capabilities.
- Facilitate individualized therapy sessions focused on communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
- Engage with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to develop integrated care strategies.
- Ensure patient and family empowerment through education that encourages progress beyond clinical encounters.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, securing a seamless continuum of care throughout the patient's journey.
- Keep meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Commit to continual professional growth through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues.
- Holder of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification remains pending.
- Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of commencing employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for diverse age groups, with a sound understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills, both with patients and within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
