Title : SVP, Creative Director, Art Agency : Propeller Location : Summit, NJ OR New York, NY Department/Discipline : Art Responsibilities Demonstrate leadership qualities by collaborating with leadership partners (copy and account), motivating the team, inspiring original thinking, and maintaining morale. Lead concepting initiatives, contribute work, ensure briefs are inspired and focused, evaluate work using SPARK criteria, and present work to clients. Partner with account/strategy/medical teams to develop proactive recommendations in anticipation of market events (e.g., launch of competitors, new data, new campaigns, societal/cultural events). Stay abreast of creative trends and collaborate with CX team to recommend new technologies and social media approaches to grow business. Identify opportunities for improvement within the assigned business group and offer executable solutions. Keep the Executive Creative Director informed on major creative projects and contribute to achieving departmental goals. Collaborate with VP, Associate Creative Director(s), and Art to ensure final products demonstrate high-quality creative and effectively communicate brand messages to target audiences. Be involved in hands-on work as needed to execute ideas. Establish credibility with clients at all levels by demonstrating knowledge of the client’s business and team members. Maintain strong content knowledge and work with UX/strategy to keep art teams up-to-date on digital innovation and market shifts. Keep informed about award-winning creatives and the current promotional environment to help teams prepare work for award submissions. Act as a brand steward, maintaining integrity and excellence of each brand in all materials developed. Be knowledgeable about all forms of art execution (photography, CGI, motion, music, and sound). Provide fresh, creative and strategic thinking for all brand marketing/advertising initiatives. Ensure that agency work is on strategy and contributes to growing the client’s business. Work with copywriters to develop conceptual approaches to meet client objectives. Present concepts and rationale effectively to team, clients, and new business prospects. Demonstrate big-picture thinking while attending to details as necessary. Collaborate effectively with Client/Agency Creative, Account, and Customer Experience teams. Coordinate with Imaging, DEI, and art buying during concepting and studio for file archiving. Foster a collaborative work environment across departments and handle conflicts professionally. Manage projects from start to finish with account service to ensure creative, strategic, and budget goals are met. Maintain positive relationships with internal departments and utilize resources appropriately. Communicate effectively and professionally internally and externally. Project a professional attitude and foster a respectful, supportive, and cooperative atmosphere. Monitor workload to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime. Provide leadership within the department and across the agency. Solicit feedback to inform agency policy and operations and ensure timely responses. Maintain overall health of the team/department/business by embedding agency values in daily work. Inspire direct reports to learn, teach, and mentor; emphasize fiscal responsibility and its impact on the team and agency. Experience College degree. 10+ years of healthcare agency experience. 7+ years of supervisory experience. Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Figma, AI Tools, (XD preferred but not mandatory), Microsoft Office. Exemplary creative portfolio. Exemplary oral and written communication and presentation skills. The salary range shown represents the low and high end of the base salary for this role in the United States and may vary based on experience and other factors.
