Overview We are seeking an experienced, strategic and creative Social Media Director to lead our social media presence across channels for both The Freeman Company (parent company) and the Freeman brand. This role is responsible for shaping and executing social media strategies to elevate both brands, drive audience growth and deliver measurable business impact on distinct channels for each. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to see the big picture, have a knack for creative storytelling, and participate in hands-on execution while leading a high-performing team. The role serves as a key member of the Marketing leadership team and is the primary liaison to content creation, creative and agency partners as needed.
This position will support our Marketing team and is eligible for a hybrid schedule, generally requiring in-office and/or show-site work 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of our North Dallas office in Dallas, TX.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop and oversee a global social media strategy that aligns with business goals, brand identity for The Freeman Company and the Freeman brand, and audience needs
Lead the creation and distribution of engaging, platform-specific organic content across channels including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as future emerging channels or existing channels the brand may enter
Lead the establishment of the brand’s social media voice and guidelines, ensuring responsible content management, consistent tone, and compelling messaging/storytelling across platforms
Monitor performance metrics, analyze data and provide recommendations for optimizations such as content for boosting, cross-sharing or collaborations
Proactively identify cultural moment opportunities aligned with the brand and spearhead the right approach to activate social channels within the cultural moment
Develop and integrate engaging and distinctive social campaigns to support brand-building, awareness-driving campaigns, and conversion
Partner with senior level cross-functional leaders or strategic partners to plan, integrate and maximize content performance that drive engagement and conversion
Establish goals, objectives and manage expectations of a high-performing social media team and partners, including oversight of analytics dashboard for social media performance
Education & Experience Mastyer’s Degree preferred, Bachelor’s Degree from a 4 year accredited college or university is required
10+ years of experience in social media or digital marketing with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or director-level role managing teams and impactful strategies
Proven track record of developing and executing social media strategies that drive measurable growth in awareness, engagement and conversion across multiple platforms
Deep understanding of social media analytics, content performance measurement and paid media/boosting optimization, including experience using content publishing platforms such as Sprout Social or native platform insights
Experience leading cross-functional collaboration with creative, PR and marketing teams to align content with broader business and brand goals
Strong background in storytelling, content strategy and organic campaign management, including collab partnerships
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, agencies and vendor relationships effectively
Knowledge of digital trends and the evolving social landscape, with the ability to anticipate and act on platform changes or algorithm updates
Knowledge of content creation tools, including ability to edit videos, generate memes, or leverage AI for custom content
Strong copywriting skills, with ability to adapt to style and requirements of channel/platforms to maximize engagement
Ability to be nimble or pivot based on business needs
Strong cultural champion who demonstrates ability to foster growth, accountability and innovation within team dynamic
Ability to prioritize initiatives and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
Inspires fresh, creative thinking and demonstrates openness to new approaches or innovation
