Senior User Experience (UX) Products and Applications Designer Overview The Senior User Experience (UX) Products and Applications Designer is responsible for designing and developing high-quality, seamless user experiences by optimizing the functional experience for products and applications. Applies user-centered design principles and techniques, and partners with functional teams to identify improvements in solution design and develop solutions to increase user adoption. What You'll Do Develops a deep understanding and documentation of customer journeys, personas, and segmentation. Collects and analyzes user behaviors and needs through qualitative and quantitative user research such as interviews, field studies, surveys, A/B testing, digital experience monitoring, and usability testing. Designs, develops, tests, and deploys solutions to address critical user pain points and opportunities to increase efficiency. Troubleshoots and resolves issues with existing solutions and provides technical support to end-users. Helps promote standard methodologies in design, usability, and accessibility across the company Applies user-centered design processes that incorporate data (e.g., from real user monitoring (RUM) technologies), user insights, and continuous feedback. Develops and communicates design ideas through prototypes, wireframes, user flows, and other design deliverables. Ensures applications and products supported meet objectives for usability, adhere to relevant design and accessibility standards, comply with brand strategy and identity guidelines, and deliver positive experiences. Translates user research insights into stories, and partners with development team members to prioritize and deliver them. Uses and coaches others on UI/UX tools, techniques, and best practices. Communicates UX strategy and designs to internal and external stakeholders to build consensus and conveys the impact of design decisions on user, customer, and business outcomes. Handles other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned. Applies approved Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and source code management best practices to ensure delivery of quality solutions. What It Takes To Succeed Deep understanding of customer journeys, personas, and segmentation. Strong skills in collecting and analyzing user behaviors and needs through qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, field studies, surveys, digital experience monitoring, usability testing). Ability to design, develop, test, and deploy solutions that address critical user pain points and drive efficiency. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues with existing solutions; providing technical support to end-users. Skill in developing and communicating design ideas through prototypes, wireframes, user flows, and other deliverables. Proficient in using and coaching others on UI/UX tools, techniques, and best practices. Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks. Experience Our target candidate is at the Sr. Level: For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years). Education A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred. Hybrid Workplace SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
