POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Visual Designer you will be responsible for the development and creation of internal‑facing materials, while owning all phases of the design process. An average day will look like meeting with stakeholders, working on graphic design projects through the whole process from concepting and development all the way to production.

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS/DUTIES:

  • Ability to own all phases of design including brainstorming, concepting, creation of design, and production.
  • Demonstrates graphic design skills across a variety of formats and project types.
  • Follows through on projects, ensuring on‑time delivery of content as defined by the client.
  • Communicates variances between project requests and actual bandwidth to support on‑time delivery and superb client relationships.
  • Manage project hours and timelines using Asana or other project management tools.
  • Conduct evaluations and self‑assessments to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Review project metrics and maintain target results.
  • Remains on‑trend with styles while pushing innovative ways to produce content.
  • Assists manager as needed.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS:

Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable using a Mac
  • Strong organization skills
  • Project management skills
  • Professional graphic design knowledge/experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Training and/or experience in design field
  • 3+ year's experience in design field
  • Portfolio required.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications or Marketing
  • Knowledge of both print and web design is a plus, but not required to have experience in both.
