Overview Eastern Illinois University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Communication Studies in the School of Communication and Journalism. The successful candidate will teach courses in the Communication Studies undergraduate major and graduate program and engage in research and service. Opportunities for summer teaching online exist. Responsibilities Teach courses in the Communication Studies major and graduate program. Engage in departmental service and research/creative activities. Develop a clear research agenda with relevance to Interpersonal or Organizational Communication. Possibly teach online courses and participate in online summer teaching. Qualifications Ph.D. in Communication by the start of employment (ABD will be considered). Evidence of excellent teaching and ability to teach a variety of classes in the Communication Studies major and graduate program. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills. Clear research agenda with high relevance to Interpersonal or Organizational Communication. Demonstrated ability and willingness to teach online.
