Graphic Designer
Position Overview
The Graphic Designer will report to the Director, Marketing Communications, and have a unique opportunity to influence the entire creative process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, infographics, logos, layouts and photos, in support of the overall MACOM brand. As part of a small marketing team this role will entail a wide range of responsibilities, the Graphic Designer will shape the visual aspects of external and internal websites and portals, product imagery, advertisements, events, customer and investor presentations, and all marketing content.
The role will allow for pushes into other areas of the business tied to graphic design, such as social media, Datasheets and Product Briefs, Product Videos, Advertising, and Sales Enablement.
Job Responsibilities
Tradeshow and Events booth wrapping, banners, posters and product cards
Brochures – catalogs, short form product handouts, one-pagers
External and Internal Web-based creative covering MACOM’s key new products, applications and technologies and employee communications
Presentations – Investor decks and customer focused slides
Internal and External facing Sales eNewsletters
Infographics
Advertising – print and digital
Datasheet creation assistance
Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
Work with senior executives, sales and engineering teams to develop creative compelling content that clearly communicates strategic and product messaging
Conceptualize multiple visual concepts based on requirements
Selecting colors, fonts, photographs, layouts and other design elements to communicate creative concepts
Perform retouching and manipulation of images and existing creative
Conduct image search to build and manage MACOM’s corporate application and product image library
Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
Build, manage and define corporate brand guidelines
Work with vendors to produce printed materials

Required Experience
Proven B2B graphic designing experience. Preferably in the technology field
A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics over a wide range of creative projects
Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field
3-5 years of experience in graphic design
Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and websites
Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
Proficiency in Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Sketch, and other graphic design software
Proficiency and Microsoft PowerPoint and Acrobat
Familiarity with a variety of enewsletter and emailing platforms
Digital/social media, Videography and Photography skills a plus
