— a storyteller at heart who knows how to create brand concepts that resonate deeply with fandom communities. This leader will craft consumer journeys that bring our most iconic franchises to life, translating the lore of Star Wars and Marvel into modern, culturally resonant brand experiences. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of brand marketing experience and knows how to move seamlessly across Studios, Disney Consumer Products, and partner functions to orchestrate stories, products, and campaigns that inspire and connect. They combine creativity with operational discipline — bringing stakeholders along every step of the way while executing with precision and excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Brand Concept Development:

Build breakthrough brand platforms and campaigns that are authentic to the lore of Star Wars and Marvel and resonate deeply with global fandoms.

Consumer Journey Design:

Architect journeys that map every touchpoint, from awareness to advocacy, delivering experiences that immerse fans and strengthen their connection to the brand.

Global & Regional Alignment:

Shape campaigns for a global stage while harmonizing with regional marketing teams, ensuring that local markets are inspired, aligned, and empowered to activate the brand in culturally relevant ways.

Storytelling & Cultural Resonance:

Harness insights into fandom psychology, community behaviors, and cultural trends to shape campaigns that spark conversation and move culture forward.

Cross‑Functional Leadership:

Partner seamlessly with Studios, DCP teams, and external licensees to deliver fully integrated brand narratives across content, product, and experiences.

Agency & Partner Collaboration:

Lead agencies and partners to bring your vision to life — from big ideas to flawless execution across marketing channels.

Campaign Execution:

Own the beats of the marketing journey, ensuring every milestone is on time, on strategy, and on brand.

Measurement & Iteration:

Use data, insights, and fan feedback to measure impact, optimize future campaigns, and continuously evolve the brand experience.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH As Director, you’ll be a key member of the Disney Consumer Products marketing leadership team, working closely with Studios, Franchise, Creative, and Product teams. You’ll collaborate daily with agencies, licensees, and internal partners to deliver campaigns that make Star Wars and Marvel culturally relevant and emotionally resonant for fans around the world. You will also work closely with regional marketing leads — aligning on campaign strategies, sharing insights, and ensuring they are set up for success to execute globally inspired campaigns in locally authentic ways.

WHAT YOU BRING

10+ years of brand marketing experience with a proven record of building and executing world‑class campaigns.

Mastery of brand concept development and consumer journey design.

Deep understanding of fandom psychology, community dynamics, and how to harness culture to drive engagement.

Experience collaborating across Studios, Consumer Products, and partner functions to deliver integrated storytelling.

Expertise in global marketing, with the ability to harmonize global vision with regional execution and inspire local teams.

Ability to balance creative ambition with enterprise discipline — inspiring stakeholders and ensuring operational excellence.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to bring others along and maximize the potential of every brand concept.

Expertise in working with agencies, creative partners, and cross‑functional teams to deliver campaigns on time and on budget.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

This role is more than brand marketing — it’s about being the steward of two of the most powerful franchises in the world. You’ll inspire global fandoms, shape culture, and bring Star Wars and Marvel to life in ways that connect with fans emotionally and endure across generations — everywhere they are.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $168,400 to $225,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
