General Job Description

KEP Electric is seeking a Pre-Construction Design Editor to join our growing team. In this role, you will customize electrical drawings within established electrical codes on builder's standard floor plans for use during electrical installation. This position is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals looking to build a career in design and construction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following represent key responsibilities, though other duties may be assigned:

Interact with builders and job supervisors to ensure all working information is accurate and up to date. Secure all information related to job design and incorporate it into electrical drawings. Customize and edit electrical layouts according to builder specifications and code requirements. Collaborate with field teams and project managers to maintain quality and accuracy across all design projects. Minimum Education

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with management, field support staff, suppliers, and customers. Proficient with Windows-based personal computers and related software. Working knowledge of

Adobe Illustrator

required; familiarity with

Bluebeam

and

CAD

software is a plus. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Ability to understand departmental operations and procedures. Basic ability to read residential housing blueprints helpful but not required. Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods. Regular use of a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment. Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate in an office environment. License Required
