talented, design-sensitive,
and
ambitious Design Coordinator
with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit to join our San Jose team. As a Design Coordinator, you will support project teams through all phases of design, including:
Programming
Digital and physical modeling
Rendering and design studies
Preparation of construction documents
Construction administration
Day-to-day coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors
You'll work closely with
senior architects, designers, and project managers
on exciting
corporate workplace
and
community-focused projects.

In this role you will
accept specific assignments and develop concepts according to parameters defined by the senior architect overseeing project assignment;
manage related components/tasks of projects so that all can be effectively executed, according to schedule and within budget;
interact and communicate effectively and professionally with other team members;
assure execution of and assist with quality control activities for architectural elements on a project;
review drawings, documents and submittals for document compliance and documenting code review and compliance;
keep lead architect or designated team leader informed of progress; recognizing problem issues, communicating impact to team, and seeking clarity when necessary;
maintain, organize and archive all project related documents; and
make an on-going effort to log AXP experience hours and take ARE exams to achieve architectural registration.
You will need to have:
Bachelors' or Masters' degree from an accredited Interior Design / Interior Architecture program
2 - 4 years of experience; on path to licensure
Interest in working on medium to large-scale project types in a very collaborative environment
Strong communication, presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Revit
Familiarization in working with AutoCAD is preferred, but not required
Strong 2D and 3D graphic skills essential
Fluent knowledge of SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and/or other related BIM technology
Exhibited passion for integrating a client\'s sustainability goals into projects
Salary Information The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA\'s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Hourly rate: $32.70 - $37.20 depending on location, qualifications and experience.
