As Principal, Marketing Strategy (Rx), you’ll lead strategic initiatives that support integrated pharmacy innovation and growth, health partnerships, and enterprise alignment. This pivotal role provides an opportunity for an experienced healthcare or pharmacy marketing professional to serve as a strategic leader, translating enterprise pharmacy marketing vision into actionable campaigns.

The successful candidate will guide strategic initiatives that drive business growth, cultivate partner relationships, and enhance alignment across the organization. This role is ideal for a forward‑thinking strategist who thrives in complex, cross‑functional environments and is passionate about improving health outcomes through pharmacy services.

Key Role Functions

Build comprehensive marketing strategies and customer journeys for pharmacy marketing initiatives; provide ongoing performance updates to leadership

Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning cycles to drive overall business growth

Develop and execute long‑term strategic plans that align with organizational goals and priorities

Track and optimize performance metrics throughout the marketing funnel

Design and implement learning agendas and pharmacy customer research programs

Create audience guides and messaging frameworks using insights from customer research, ensuring all communications are audience‑targeted and outcomes‑driven

Manage and orchestrate customer‑facing marketing and communications across CenterWell Pharmacy (CWP) lines of business

Foster cross‑functional alignment and support for strategic marketing needs across all CWP business segments

Establish and nurture business alignment and collaboration plans to elevate CenterWell Pharmacy’s brand presence and accelerate growth

Provide strategic direction to go‑to‑market teams, ensuring effective integration of marketing campaigns with broader business goals

Utilize customer insights, competitive analytics, and market trends to inform and refine marketing strategies that support acquisition and retention

Define and communicate clear marketing objectives, developing strategies to engage new and existing customers

Oversee channel, messaging, and content strategies to ensure consistency with organizational and customer priorities

Partner with consumer insights and segmentation teams to define personas, customer journeys, and target high‑value audience segments

Apply data analytics to optimize targeting, timing, and messaging for each campaign

Share actionable insights in accessible formats, enabling fast and confident activation by teams

Develop and maintain a robust library of core messaging architecture and value propositions

Champion test‑and‑learn approaches and drive continuous improvement through data‑backed hypotheses and post‑campaign optimization

Proactively identify new opportunities and champion innovative approaches to solving complex marketing problems

Responsible for preparing high‑impact presentations and developing strategic talking points for executive leadership, ensuring clear, compelling, and aligned communication of key initiatives and priorities

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field

10+ years of progressive experience in marketing strategy, with a strong background in both strategic planning and execution

Demonstrated success leading large‑scale marketing initiatives across direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) and business‑to‑business (B2B) segments

Experience in healthcare or pharmacy marketing, with a deep understanding of regulatory considerations and patient engagement strategies

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing executive‑level materials and strategic roadmaps

Strong project management and business relationship capabilities; proven ability to set priorities and manage multiple long‑term projects

Highly detail‑oriented with robust strategic thinking and organizational skills

Demonstrated independent judgment and effective decision‑making abilities

Proven commitment to continuous improvement and innovation within growth‑focused environments

Track record of upholding organizational values and contributing positively to workplace culture

Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across enterprise functions

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree or MBA in Marketing, Business, or a related field

Prior experience working in a Fortune 100 company or large healthcare organization

Direct experience in the pharmacy sector, including retail, specialty, or mail‑order pharmacy services

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile marketing environments

Experience with customer segmentation, journey mapping, and omnichannel campaign development

Brings energy, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset to leadership and team engagement

Additional Information This role is a 100% remote role anywhere in the US and will primarily operate on Eastern Standard Time business hours.

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi‑weekly payment for their internet expense.

Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
